Mescalero Sands

This Sunday I headed out with Charlie Stout, who has a facination with sand dunes, and we adventured out in New Mexico at the Mescalero Sands. It was pretty awesome, but stinkin cold out there! Needless to say we both ended up getting a few pretty sweet shots. On the way back, Charlie broke my heart when he ran over a bunny. Poor thing... he tried to get across the road in time.

Though I do not have a facination to the degree Charlie has, I have begun to fall in love and appreciate the sand. It was beautiful out there and the way the light bounced up off the sand and into the trees was incredible. I honestly cannot wait for my next adventure.

Llano Adventures

This semester in my special problems photography class, the topic is Contrast of the Llano Estacado. Along with film photography, for fun I've shot digital as well. Adventuring with me is Charlie Stout. Charlie has really been a muse and a teacher to me on these trips.

Little Paint Crazy

Mylie has been such a wonderful friend and one of my favorite models. She is fearless and this is why I asked her to be a part of my project. I've always wanted to portray the artist-gone-wild.

Countless times when I was an Art Minor, I'd look at my finished painting and then at myself and see that I was covered in paint. I wanted to cover my model in paint. So I took Mylie down in the studio, did just that to her and, the fun model she is, worked the paint!

I'm very happy with how the shoot turned out. Enjoy!
