Father / Daughter Session : Paul & Lauren

Earlier I blogged about Katelyn and Paul. Now I am blogging about Lauren and Paul, and let me tell you, Paul is a lucky dad for having two beautiful, loving and fun daughters in his life.
Lauren is a little diva. She's got spunk and style and sure knows how to have fun! What fun also for her that on the day of her Daddy and Daughter Date Night she lost her first tooth! So exciting! She is just growing up so fast!
For her date night with her father, their plans included dinner and going to see the aquarium at the Grapevine Mills Mall. (I took my daughter there and it was so cool! Definitely a must on the "Things To Do in DFW" List. They've got the Rainforest CafĂ© at that mall too.)
So with a new sparkly dress, new sparkly shoes, a fashionable sweater to keep the evening chill away and a fresh cute hairdo, Lauren was definitely a beautiful date for her dad! Paul looked pretty stylish as well. Can't forget him!

Newborn Session : Emma (8 Days)

Beautiful little Emma was kind enough to be my model during a workshop. At 8 days young, she was a natural in front of the camera. Even when she was awake, she batted her eyes and posed so sweetly for me.
It was definitely a learning experience for me as the only other newborn I had worked with was my own daughter and she's a toddler now! How time flies!
I just love this little nugget and how soft she is.

Father / Daughter Session : Chris & Paige

My beautiful daughter and her incredible daddy went out for a shoot with the bike. We picked up Paige's cute outfit while we were visiting Vegas in April to see my grandparents with the intention to have a portrait session for the two of them. The weather was a little uncertain, the location was rocky, but we survived and I am so happy with the images that have come from this adventure.

I have a superstar model as a daughter. She's perfect in front of the camera!
And my hubby's pretty fantastic too.

Portrait Session : Jaclyn

This was such a fun little adventure. My baby sister just got in town from Oklahoma finishing up her junior year at Oklahoma University and was down to go shooting. So we both dressed up, trekked around a park in dresses and heels and photographed each other, like two sisters naturally do. I cannot wait to see the photos she took of me and honestly, I am just thrilled with the photos I took of her! She has blossomed into such a beautiful, fun woman! Much different than the bratty little sister she used to be. Ha! I love you, Jaclyn. I'm looking forward to many more adventures with you, and watching your journey in photography and video continue to grow!

Graduation Party Session : David

This is such a fun family and I feel so blessed to have met them. After photographing David for his graduation portraits, his family invited me to join them as their "paparazzi" for the evening of their party for David's graduation.

If I could have an on-hand photographer for every event I throw, I would do it. Leanne, David's mother, commented afterwards how nice it was to actually enjoy the party, the family and friends and not be stuck behind a camera missing out on moments. I completely agree! When you are behind the camera, you are a spectator, not a participant. For YOUR party, YOU should be there, be in the photos and not the one left out from the captured moments.

Congratulations again to David for graduating college and the best of luck to him in the future!

Proud GREAT grandparents!
The proud grandparents of the new graduate!
Awesome handshake of two really incredible survivors of TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury).
 Happy grandmothers of baby Grace.
 Brothers! David, Peter and Matt!
Two incredible young men who have incredible tales to tell that should inspire everyone they meet.
Congratulations! (This was his first bottle of champagne to ever open! Jessica was trying to show him how it was done!)
Wonderful and happy speech from Grandma.

Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your evening and your lives. It is truly a blessing to know your family.
